three ways to participate
this album will be divided into two "discs" with two different themes, plus one bonus event that will close out the second disc. you can submit one track to each of the three categories, up to a maximum of three tracks, or just focus on a single one. your choice!
DISC 1: THE FUTURE OF PXTONE. this is for new original tunes, with the loose theme of "future". no special restrictions!
DISC 2: THE LEGACY OF PXTONE. on this disc you can revisit an old work of yours and make something new out of it, using all the pxtone skills you've acquired since then.
BONUS: NEW YUKINO WATARI VARIATIONS. our very first album under the new name of pxtunes was a series of arrangements of a simple melody from pixel's game "soaprun". I'd like to close out this anniversary celebration with a new set of variations on this melody that is so important to us. I'm going to string everyone's submissions into a single track, so it would be best to keep your part under two minutes or so...but I can make exceptions if you have a really good idea. listen to the original here.
*collaborations are great in any of these categories! feel free to team up with someone you missed during PTCONNECT, or with a friend who's new to pxtone!

the rules
the deadline is SUNDAY OCTOBER 4, whenever the end of the day is in your timezone. a one week extension is possible as usual.
submit by sending me a ptcop or lossless audio file. email jaxcheese@gmail.com or dm @jaxcheese on discord. if you're new to pxtunes or your info has changed, please tell me how you would like to be credited, and optionally provide a link or two to your music or a social media handle, which will go in the album credits.
you should use pxtone collage or ptcollab. in the spirit of "the future of pxtone", any experimental modifications or extended techniques are permissible, including rendering out part of your track elsewhere to import as a sample. light post-production/mastering on your pxtone export is also acceptable--otherwise it will go on the album as-is.
